The Charlie McLeod loungewear brand is of course about relaxing and taking life easy.  But, it's never that simple.  We want our clothing to be worn once you’ve been out and played, exercised or competed, it'll make the relax time all the more deserved.

The Charlie McLeod Sporting Ambassador scheme has been set up to support young sporting hopefuls.  Stars of the future.  Olympians of 2016.

We are very excited to introduce Ellen McArthur, Sophie Coldwell and Ellie Walton.  All 3 are seriously impressive young triathletes, training hard and focused on the goal of competing at the very highest level.

About Ellie Walton

Last year I won the British Youth Triathlon Championships, and came third in the British Triathlon Super Series behind Sophie and Ellen.  I have also been a member of the Olympic Talent Squad for 3 years. Unfortunately my 2012 season was affected by an achilles injury, but I still managed to race 3 European Junior Cup races and achieved a respectable top 15 in each. Next season I will be back to full fitness and I'm looking for selection for Junior European and World Triathlon Championships. Long term, I want to have a long successful senior triathlon career competing at World Championships and ultimately the Olympic Games.

About Sophie Coldwell

I started triathlon when I was 8 and have been competing ever since,

2012 was my first year racing in the junior category so have another 2 years racing at that distance.

With regards to racing, here is a list of my races/results...

Tabor ETU Triathlon Junior European Cup - 3rd 2012

In the short term I would like to become a stronger athlete so that next year I can build on my performances from this season and finish higher in races such as the world Championships and European Championships. In the long term I hope to be racing for many more years and hope to compete an multiple Commonwealths and Olympic Games

About Ellen McArthur

My short term goals are to compete at the National elite races next year, at European Cup races around Europe throughout the summer and maybe even qualify for the Junior European Championships.  My long term goals are to compete at World Championships either next season or the season of 2014, and ultimately race at elite World Championships from then on, maybe even working my way up to Olympic level.

My sporting achievements to date are:

2010 I qualified for National Cross Country Championships

I qualified for the Inter Regional Triathlon Championships and finished 9th.

I raced in the National Biathle (run, swim, run event) and finished 3rd, automatically qualifying me to race for GB in the World Biathle Championships in Dubai which I raced in October 2010 and won silver. (also the 1st person from GB)

In 2011

I qualified again for the National Cross Country Championships

I raced in the British Youth Super Series (a national race series) finishing:

4th at the National Duathlon

2nd at the Strathclyde Triathlon

2nd at the Porthcawl Triathlon, in which I qualified to race for Team GB at the European Youth Relays in France, in which we won silver.

2nd at the National  Aquathlon

3rd at the Inter Regional Championships

and 2nd in the overall British Youth Super Series.

Unfortunately I have no results for 2012 as I had to cope with my injury and necessary surgery which thankfully has now been resolved. I look forward to racing next year and completing my short term goals!
